Web design

A website that does something, not a pretty one

Built so the visitor acts, and set up so you can change a line of text without calling anyone.

Free audit · 30 minutes · No sales pitch

The problem

People come in and nothing happens

  • The site looks fine, people visit, and still nobody writes or calls. Nobody tells you why, because the one who leaves does not say goodbye.
  • It was built by someone who is no longer around, and changing one sentence means asking for a quote and waiting three days.
  • It looks correct on the computer it was designed on. On a phone with poor signal, on a Friday evening, it is another story.

A pretty site that does not convert is a cost. One that converts is your best salesperson, and it works at night.

What you get

Four concrete deliverables

01

A site built around one action

Every page has a clear goal and a single main call. If a section does not help that action, it does not go in.

02

Copy written, not filled in

I write the copy myself, using your words and the words of your customers. No lorem ipsum and no template lines that would fit any business.

03

Mobile for real

Tested on an actual phone, not just by resizing the browser. Forms that send, buttons you can hit with a thumb and fast loading on mobile data.

04

Independence to change it

I show you how to edit text, images and sections. Half an hour recorded so you never depend on me for a comma.

How it works

Four stages, no surprises

  1. What it has to achieve Before designing anything we decide what specific action we are after and from whom. Without that, everything else is decoration.
  2. Structure and copy First the order of the sections and what each one says. You approve it with the text in front of you, not with a coloured mockup.
  3. Design and build Built on top of what you already have whenever that is worth keeping. Nothing that works gets thrown away for taste.
  4. Testing and handover Forms tested end to end, measurement configured and the session so you can run it yourself.

Who it is for

I would rather tell you before we start

It makes sense if

  • You have a site, people visit and almost nobody writes to you.
  • You depend on other people to change any text and that slows you down.
  • You sell services and need the site to build trust before the first conversation.
  • You would rather improve what works than start from zero by default.

It does not make sense if

  • You want the cheapest site possible. There are better options than me for that.
  • You need a large ecommerce with thousands of products.
  • You want a redesign purely for looks, without changing what it says or who it speaks to.
  • You need it by Friday. Good copy does not come out in three days.

Before you ask

What people usually ask me

Does it have to be rebuilt entirely?

Almost never. The first thing I look at is what can be kept. Often the problem is the order of the sections and what they say, not the technology.

What do you build it with?

It depends on who will maintain it. If you will edit it daily, a properly configured WordPress. If you want speed and little upkeep, something lighter.

Is the copy included?

Yes, and it is not an add-on. A site with filler text does not convert no matter how well designed it is.

What about search rankings?

The groundwork is included: structure, speed, tags and content written around what people actually search for. An ongoing content strategy is separate work.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of pages and whether everything has to be written from scratch. The free audit is there to scope it before talking money.

Where do we start?

What decides if they
come back is not the sale

We start with what you already have. 30 minutes, no deck and no pitch: you tell me how a customer reaches you today, and I tell you where they are dropping off and what I would fix first. If there is nothing to fix, I will tell you that too.
