Rational Decision System

You've been going back and forth for days.
Time to decide well.

Your head already chose. It's just looking for arguments to confirm it. L.E.M.O.N.S. breaks that pattern: a 6-phase method that forces you to see what you don't want to see, before you act. No sign-up. No tricks. In 10 minutes.

"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool." — Richard Feynman

Frequently asked questions

What is the L.E.M.O.N.S. Framework?

It's a decision-making method in card deck format. Before you act, it guides you through six mandatory phases: List the Reality, Examine your Flaws, Measure the Impact, Overcome Objections, Name your Mission, Strike while the Iron is Hot. Each phase has its own cards. Each card asks a question your instinct would rather ignore. If your decision survives all six phases, it comes from conviction, not impulse.

Where did the idea come from?

From two interests that seemed unrelated. The first: Poor Charlie's Almanack, where Charlie Munger (Warren Buffett's partner for decades) explains how to build a thinking system that doesn't fool itself. The second: Pip Decks, a physical card system that forces you to consider angles you'd otherwise ignore. One day I thought: what if Munger's mental models lived in a card deck focused on real decisions? L.E.M.O.N.S. is that question turned into a tool.

How does it work?

Choose the deck that matches your decision type (Investment, Life, or Projects), write in one line what you're evaluating, and the system deals you cards. Two modes: Quick Filter (10 minutes, 6 random cards, one per phase) for decisions that need fast clarity, and Full Analysis (25–35 minutes, you choose your cards) for decisions that deserve a rigorous process. The Full Analysis ends with the Shadow Board. No sign-up required.

What is the Shadow Board?

The final adversary in the Full Analysis. Five archetypes representing the internal voices that resist change: the Inner Critic, the Cynical Realist, the Status Quo Guardian, the Identity Saboteur, and the Cost Counter. Each one attacks your decision from a different angle. If you answer honestly and your decision holds, that's the clearest signal you're acting from conviction. If it doesn't survive, you have valuable information about why you're not ready yet.

Who is this for?

For anyone who has been going back and forth on an important decision for days or weeks. Works especially well for entrepreneurs, founders, freelancers, and people in transition moments (launching something, investing, changing careers, accepting or rejecting an offer). If you already know what you want to do, L.E.M.O.N.S. tells you whether the reasoning is solid or whether there's a blind spot you haven't seen yet.

Is it free?

Completely. No sign-up, no payment plan, no personal data. Come in, think, leave. No trace. It also works offline once the page has loaded, in case you want to use it on a flight or in a quiet moment.
